The famous Gallup Poll states that one in every four American can carry a reasonable conversation in another language. You may think that is a good achievement. Unfortunately, compared to the rest of the world, U.S. has the lowest level of bilingualism in the world. Similarly, learning Mandarin will expose your kid to more than 900 million who speak Mandarin including those in mainland China.
